About this deal

Given that the M2's rivals mostly have four cylinders (Mercedes-AMG CLA45, Ford Focus RS, Porsche 718) or at a stretch five (Audi RS3) this is a profound advantage.

You can be fabulously lazy with it if you so want, letting the revs drop to not much over 1,200rpm before riding a wallop of torque that comes in soon after (peak torque is available from 2,650rpm, but there’s enough beneath that). We’re driving the manual today, and as we peel off the interstate and the traffic thins out, it becomes clear that while the gearbox is primed to deliver what purists would term involvement – the art of heeling and toeing, the ultimate control of when another gear is to be selected – the unit itself is actually a teeny bit clunky.

A carbon-fibre roof is included here, for example, along with M carbon-fibre interior trim, M Sport seats, a head-up display and a Harman Kardon audio system. But the basic principle probably holds true: just like its rivals Mercedes and Audi, BMW is not immune to the need to stick complex hybrid and pure-electric powertrains into its cars, and its M performance sub-brand can’t avoid that trend forever either. I was totally aware that BOTH you and OP drive 335i with HPFP and piezo-electric injectors with individual "tolerance ranges" that need to be entered into the DME (coding? Considering you're going to be using a mallet, a mallet and a torch at best, to do your "fix", you will not be reshaping as much as crushing and reducing interior dimensions.

It’s not badly engineered by any means, but BMW’s boffins were clearly given the brief of producing a transmission that can cope with a significant amount of power and torque – and the robust mechanicals required for this mean a longer throw than we’d like and a heavier, slightly notchy shift to match. The only roll cage I can see in a normal persons future is a dedicated track car and to me track car = race car. I'm thinking of making one but per each side of the chassis so it would look like V brace but cut in half as the exhaust pipe needs to be in the middle.I was also aware that the CAS supplies Voltage to the Starter (Motor M6510a) Solenoid when the START button is pressed, and that the Remote Insert Compartment (S14028), Brake Light Switch (S29), and Clutch Switch (S805a) are also connected to the CAS. This is our first chance, then, to see if what could well be the M2’s final chance stacks up on the road.

There’s an incredible sharpness to how the M2 turns in and stays balanced through the corners, but also – and here’s where it probably gains over larger M models – how it’s happy to snap back in the opposite direction if you want it to. Running washers is not an option the exhaust sits too low and believe me i worked all day on tucking it as close to the chassis as possible. Hey guys can anyone tell me how important is the V Brace that goes under the exhaust and connects center car chassis rear suspension bridge? It makes intelligent and extremely smooth shifts, quickly becoming the sort of compliant aid to your progress that only the very best automatic gearboxes can be. The exhaust is tucked under the car at closest point from first pipe which connects to Y pype, first pype at 1/4 of an inch from the heat shield of the car. I have no idea why they dont make it anymore for our chasis but I am glad I found one used for 150 bucks.

I had to remove it do to installation of aftermarket exhaust and debating on just running a custom brace per each side. I will follow your suggestion in the future and refrain from using "ROFL" at least in situations where anyone might think I was making fun of, or attacking someone. More than any of its predecessors, it fully assumes the original M3’s brief by offering supercar-baiting cross-country performance, along with astounding handling, agility and involvement, in a compact package. And that’s on top of what is already a more generous equipment list than on the last M2, with electric front seats, the adaptive suspension and a rear-view camera all thrown in. you are talking about increasing the dimensions width wise and shrinking them in height, and then re-tightening the width and increasing the height to get back to round. However, i loosely screwed the V brace in to the back of the differential bridge as showed in the pic above. Instead of being something created to cope with the engine, the ZF-sourced eight-speeder feels like it was probably calibrated to work alongside it. There is also a solution to tourch the exhaust and make it fit but for what i think V brace would be easier to FAB then that. I hope you get the idea, don't mean to be rude here but the thread is TELL ME ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITHOUT V brace or suggest how to make a better one (THAT FITS) for MANY aftermarket exhausts.
