About this deal

Stories that feature wicked worlds and the worst kind of villains that don’t talk about themselves in third person. To guide your way through the 'Bookstagram', our world of books and fiction, the first volume of BOOKSTAGRAM has been published here. A lot of darker themes are tackled here and as a reader you need to be smart about knowing what you're walking into. I have a genuine question though, not to be rude or anything but what do y'all think dark romance means?

Anyway, definitely dropping this book, i really tried to power through telling myself that he must do something to redeem himself from the stalking and shit, but there is not redeeming rape to me. Trigger warning or not , isn't it why 'no' isn't taken as an answer by some people because they think you secretly like it? And to think that I thought I couldn't possibly hate this fmc more and she pulls the 'i'm not like other girls' line.

Where she holds herself with regality and grace, I have a terrible habit of slumping and sitting with my legs open. I found her little journal entries to be riveting and the fact that Adaline had more going on than just her stalker made the character feel more rounded. antes que me hinchen las pelotas con el "es non-con" bla bla bla, MIREN si en el libro ANTES de tener relaciones sexuales hablan y especifican que en ese momento quieren que no haya consentimiento? When reading a “dark” romance, you expect a little more depth and triggering themes to accompany the story.

I do seriously recommend the second book if you like the dark themes, but not necessarily the relationship between the two characters. But one of the hard limits is trying to excuse the behavior, and that's what this book does at every turn. It ruins the atmosphere and necessary formality that is vital to the reader taking this book seriously. And don't get me started on the writing that feels like it has never seen an editor or beta reader or something. But, I think building up to the first encounter more would have created more suspense for the reader and allowed us to really feel his obsession and what led to him having to stalk her. One reason was because it was so corny it was funny, and the other was because it was actually interesting seeing how fuckimg lame someone can make sex trafficking. He goes on and on about how those men should burn in hell for what they've done yet here he is casually and remorselessly stalking and raping a girl in his free time. This is so fucking harmful to rape victims and belittles what they went through as it implies that if you even felt a little bit of pleasure whilst being raped that it wasn't actually rape.
