I have the same Mother Gothel and she doesn’t have the hair issue, although I noticed the same thing with the shoes that don’t angle properly, making her hard to stand up. I love your photos and the captions, the amount of your knowledge, the actual reviews, your biology-lessons, how passionate you are about dolls.

I understand why the plastic hinge-knee legs were abandoned, but it's frustrating to me that Disney would go right back to the old rubber leg design. It must be from the silver glitter design on the skirt, but before I de-boxed her, I would have said that this doll has much less glitter on her than the previous years' dolls. I love seeing your pictures for these dolls, all of the Gothel shots had me cracking up, especially the last one with her and Rapunzel. This blog started out as a shrine for Rilakkuma, but has since evolved to reflect my current passions. None of the Rapunzel dolls seem to quite capture the spunk of the movie character and that glitter would drive me nuts!Harry Potter fans may not like what I’m doing with their characters, as to make them fit the Sinister theme, I’m making them less admirable. I am surprised by how tempting I find this year's Snow White doll, too, even though she is my least favorite princess.

I keep Mother Gothel in a display case most of the time to keep her from getting dusty--comb or wash this hair at your own risk!I'm not 100% if your doll is doing this but my gothel's bald spot is highlighted because her hair was tied into two pigtails when they packaged her in the box. If that's the case, then I'm definitely happy for the change, but I do prefer the hair when it drags on the floor a little bit. Because this is the “Classic” doll and not the deluxe version or whatever, the dress isn’t as embellished as in the movie, and the waist sash isn’t a true belt, being sewn onto the sides of the dress instead of wrapping all the way around.
