About this deal

Another favourite of mine, 'Rapp Snitch Knishes' features the mysterious 'Mr. Fantastik' who also appeared on 'Anti Matter' from Take Me to Your Leader. They talk about how ridiculous it is to rap about your crimes as it's almost like you're snitching on yourself. The captivating opener Beef Rap sets the bar high, as DOOM's intricate rhyme schemes and food-inspired metaphors ignite the senses. The gritty production paired with DOOM's distinct flow lays the foundation for the album's lyrical brilliance. One Beer is a standout piece delves into the consequences of overindulgence, emphasizing DOOM's storytelling genius. The playful melody, expertly flipped sample, and DOOM's intricate wordplay combine to create an unforgettable auditory experience. However, there was also another release. MM.. Food is DOOM's second 'solo' album. I say 'solo' because a chunk of the album his instrumental and one song doesn't even feature him on the mic. This isn't to say it's any less of an album though. In fact it's my favourite of DOOMs 'solo' releases. J-23 (24 July 2007). "MF Doom – MM..Food (Re-release)". HipHopDX. Archived from the original on 27 June 2021 . Retrieved 20 January 2017.

MF Doom described Mm..Food as a concept album "about the things you find on a picnic, or at a picnic table". [1] The album's titles and lyrics contain references to different foods, some with common metaphors and double entendres in the "street world" and the "nutritional realm". [2]

Mmm...Food stands as a testament to MF DOOM's unparalleled creativity and musical ingenuity. This album exemplifies DOOM's ability to seamlessly blend complex beats, skillful sampling, and mind-bending lyricism. It demands and rewards multiple listens, unveiling new layers of depth with each spin. Mm..Food (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by British-American rapper and producer MF Doom, released by Rhymesayers in November 2004. The album peaked at number 17 on Billboard 's Independent Albums chart, and number 9 on Heatseekers Albums chart. The title Mm..Food is an anagram of "MF Doom".The original release of the album included a different version of "Kookies". It was removed due to an unlicensed sample from Sesame Street, and was promptly changed to a simpler version of the song in all future physical and digital releases. MM.. Food is an album by American hip hop artist Daniel Dumile, his second full-length under the MF DOOM moniker. It was released on November 16, 2004 on Rhymesayers Entertainment. DOOM's unparalleled flow, clever wordplay, and impeccable storytelling shine throughout the album. With culinary references and intricate metaphors at every turn, he creates a unique and immersive world, keeping listeners engrossed in his sonic narrative. So the prospect of a skit-filled mid-section of a(n under) 50-minute LP may sound grim, but it's not so bad. It's also counterbalanced with some of the best songs MF DOOM has ever done -- "Potholderz,""Deep Fried Frenz,""One Beer,""Rapp Snitch Knishes," etc. There are also some great collaborations here. "Potholderz" was a Count Bass D song that DOOM hopped on after the fact, and "Rapp Snitch Knishes" features Mr. Fantastik who should have done more work. All four guests put in great performances though. MF Doom - Chart history - Top Independent Albums". Billboard. Archived from the original on 18 December 2018 . Retrieved 20 January 2017.
